Port Angels-Dennis Marvin Bauer's trial of the three murders continues at 9 am today, and the prosecution's case is expected to be filed during the Christmas holiday.

Last week, Clarham County Attorneys Michel Devlin and Jesse Espinosa continued to lay the groundwork for their case against a 53-year-old resident of Lower Elva Road, in a step-by-step operation of investigations and emotions Show the testimony of Bauer’s son Jared to law enforcement witnesses.

On Thursday, they concluded the third week of proceedings. A detective sergeant pointed out that the murder victim Darrell Iverson's house on Bear Meadow Road had blood on the front door. Evidence, near where the bullet-hole bodies of Iverson and his son were found. On the eve of 2018, a tarp was wrapped on the driveway.

The testimony included the assertion that after the December 26, 2018 shooting, Ball and two accomplices ransacked Iverson’s house and took guns, jewellery and other items.

The prosecutor also found a semi-automatic rifle hung on the wall of the suspected complicity trailer displayed to the jury. The jury also learned of the vehicle dash recorder collected by a detective sergeant in the Sheriff’s Office from Iverson’s neighbor on the same day. Eric Munger found blood spots.

Last week, Jared Bauer, the son of Dennis Bauer, sometimes shed tears when he testified.

He said he did not know where his father was on December 26, 2018, when Iverson, his son and May were shot to death outside Iverson’s home, away from Bauer and two people convicted of murder 16 miles west of where I live.

Jared Bauer works with his father, a commercial floor cleaner who works in a Safeway store in the North Olympic Peninsula and is employed by a company independent of Safeway. He said that sometimes he would use his father's time card to check in.

"Even if I was asked to be my father's alibi, I would refuse," said Ball, a resident of Oklahoma.

"I don't know where he is, but he is not in Safeway."

With the support of the State Patrol SWAT team, the authorities arrested his father at his home at 8 am on January 24, 2019. Bauer stayed in the county jail on bail of 3.5 million U.S. dollars.

"It's been a long time since I saw his face," Jared said, sobbing from the witness stand on Wednesday.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, his father wore a mask like everyone else in the court and sat about 15 feet away.

Devlin spoke to High Court Judge Lauren Erickson about an hour before the end of the court early Thursday afternoon, and the jury did not leave until today.

She said the prosecution may file the case "at least" in the last week of December.

"I don't know when we want to discuss this issue with the jury because I believe some people have votes and we may have to take a break during the trial," Devlin said.

Erickson stated that she will evaluate the trial timetable on December 16.

After testifying on Friday, she said that Karen Unger, a Port Angeles lawyer representing Ball, did not know how long she would defend her or whether she would call Ball as a witness.

Bauer is a convicted felon, charged with 3 counts of first-degree serious murder and 16 counts of weapons, including 6 guns allegedly stolen from the residence of Darrell Iverson.

Ryan Warren Ward, 40, is serving three life sentences without parole after pleading guilty to three death-related serious murders and felony weapon charges in November 2020.

Kallie Ann LeTellier, 37, is the prosecution witness and the only witness to testify in court in the murder case. She served 35 years in prison after pleading guilty to May's death in second-degree murder in the same month.

So far, she has testified more than any witness.

When questioned by Unger on Thursday, Munger said that he interviewed Lightlier on January 27 and February 1.

Munger said Lightlier was "fully responsible" for the shooting.

Munger said on Thursday that Lightlier testified that Ball pointed a gun at May before shooting her twice, and she did not tell Munger at the time.

May's body was found locked in a shed, allegedly dragged there by Bauer.

"For Tiffany May's death, her description of you is clear, isn't it?" Unger asked Munger.

"Yes, if I remember correctly, she was very accurate," Munger said.

"She said how she picked up the gun, followed [May] outside, and then shot her, right?"

"Yes," Munger said.

"She is in possession of or responsible for Tiffany May's death."

Munger said that on February 1, Lightlier told Munger that she was raped by Darrell and Jordan Iverson and described the attack in detail, including the sex toys and other items she said.

Lightlier said that the Iverson family raped her on December 10, 2018, two weeks before the murder. She said it was Bower and Ward's revenge for the attack.

Unger asked Munger if he found evidence of hostages or women being detained in containers or annexes of Iverson property.

"We didn't see evidence of this," Munger said.

When asked by Devlin, Munger said that he had a rough idea of what to look for when investigating human trafficking.

"When you walked through the annex of 52 Bear Meadow, did you find any evidence of human trafficking or holding people up or taking them hostage?"

"No, I don't," Munger said.

"Who told [LeTellier] to kill Tiffany May?" Devlin asked.

There is no answer to this question. Eriksson supported Unger's opposition, calling it hearsay.

Munger testified earlier on Thursday that on about January 8th, he noticed a tiny L-shaped "blood spot" under the lock of the Iverson's house, which he identified with a pointer in the photo displayed on the court screen. it.

This is one of the four door photos seen by the jury. Devlin did not delve into the origin of blood.

The U.S. Marshals arrested Ward on January 23 at the Lower Elva Food and Fuel Company, 4 miles from Bauer's home.

The next day, Ball was arrested at his home in the 2500 block of Lower Alwa Road where Ward lived.

Munger described the property as an area of about one acre, including a single-wide mobile home with multiple outbuildings, RV trailer, bumper trailer, and "there is a lot of trash and various other things on the property," He said. "It's messy."

Munger was asked if the search of Bauer's property found any evidence. He cited one item.

"A Ruger 10/22 rifle," Munger said.

He said that the semi-automatic weapon was installed on a shelf above the door of the Bower Ward RV trailer.

Same as jewelry, bullets, bullet shells, the banana clip magazine found near the corpse of Darrell Iverson, and the dented bumper found on the corpse of Jordan Iverson , The jury also showed the rifle to the jury.

The bumper was displayed earlier on Thursday and was dragged out by the Sheriff’s Office Detective Jeff Waterhouse and the retired Port Angeles Police Department Detective Sergeant and placed on a long table. Taylor Penninger.

Peninger described a police search of 4.84 acres of Bear Meadow property. They scanned the package and stretched it in a straight line, marking the area they inspected with spray paint.

Peninger said he found a long gun and ammunition in the master bedroom of a three-bedroom, 2,000-square-foot mobile home.
